FAST RESPONSE WASP NEST REMOVAL FOR MIDDLESBROUGH
Wasps (Vespula vulgaris / Vespula germanica) can make nests housing thousands, even tens of thousands of wasps in roof spaces, attics, and voids in walls, more often than not a hole in the brickwork, usually high up.
A very large wasp nest can hatch out up to 200 new wasps every single day at its peak, so in a domestic setting, wasps are classed as definately more than a nuisance in the hot summer months and become very dangerous to the tenant.
Where a wasp nest is located away from housing or domestic properties and away from people, then wasp nest treatment or wasp nest removal can be questioned if it is not absolutely necessary to treat as, believe it or not, wasps can be beneficial to the garden environment, but wasps nests, especially advanced and mature nests, in and around buildings usually do need treatment.
Actual Wasp nest removal is not always necessary, instead the nest and the wasps will usually be treated with an insecticidal dust which will kill every wasp in there in a matter of minutes. The reason for this is taking the nest away can actually cause more problems. If there is enough worker wasps (infertile females) who are out and about in the gardens and fields when the nest gets removed and come back to find the nest is gone, they may well decide to simply build a new one in its place.
Early in the season small nests that are around say golf ball size, can sometimes be treated with DIY products as the wasp workers may not have hatched as yet so the queen may be alone - she can still sting you though! but wasp nests any larger than this and we strongly recommend you getting us, or another professional pest control company in to deal with your problem wasps nest, as stings can be painful and irritating generally but it could get a lot more serious if your allergic to wasp stings due to anaphylactic shock.
Further down the country in the more Southern counties its usually earlier but the first wasps nests up here in the Middlesbrough and Teesside areas will start to show signs of activity around June and continue on through the summer and Autumn, and often right on into winter. If you believe you have got signs of activity before June, then it will may well be Honey Bee's or Bumble Bee's instead, neither of which are classed as pests and all efforts should be made at relocation of the bee's nest before nest destruction or treatment of the nest is even considered.
If you can positively identify whether you have honey bees or bumble bees Exopest will happily relocate Bumble bee's for you if they are in an accessible location, but if honeybees call us and we will try to get you a contact for someone who can remove and relocate.
If your unsure please give us a ring for a friendly chat.
If you are in the Middlesbrough area, Exopest Ltd will strive to have a technician at your property the very same day of you calling to treat your wasp nest and we do NOT charge extra for weekends or Bank Holidays.
We aim to give our customers the best professional service at the best price in the area.
